Knesset approves compensation to Gush Katif evacuees

The Knesset's Finance Committee has approved a measure that calls for the payment of compensation to the people who whose property was damaged when they were evacuated from Gush Katif during the disengagement from Gaza in 2005. Much of the property was harmed while it was stored in containers after the evacuation.

The amendment to MK Ze'ev Elkin's Evacuation-Compensation Law was approved in second and third reading. (Zvi Lavi)
