Syria to compete for spot in UN Human Rights Council
Syria will contend for one of the open seats on the United Nations' Human Rights Council, according to a statement published on the organization's website.
At the beginning of the month, Libya was dismissed from the council, due to the violent uprising in the country. (Ynet)
