Foreign Ministry: Monitoring Japan quake, no reports of hurt Israelis

The Foreign Ministry announced Friday that it has opened a special situation room to monitor the implications of the major quake in northeast Japan. The situation room will try and contact and collect information about Israelis staying in Japan at the moment.

The Foreign ministry stressed that as of this time, there are no known reports of Israeli citizens hurt in the quake and that Japan is experiencing problems following a collapse of some of its communication lines. (Ronen Medzini)
