Defense Minister Ehud Barak spoke Sunday at a State memorial in Jerusalem in commemoration of 563 fallen IDF soldiers whose place of burial remains unknown. "Last night we all received a reminder of the painful and unbearable bloody price we are required to pay in the struggle for sovereignty and the revival of Israel in its land," he said.
"As defense minister I feel safe and sound that the iron fist of the IDF and the Shin Bet will swiftly lay its hands on the terrorists. They will be caught and justice will be done. Our hearts go out to the orphans who are left with no father or mother, from here I send my condolences and deepest sympathy," he added. (Omri Ephraim)
