Witnesses: Gaddafi forces attack rebel-held Misrata

Forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi have launched an attack on the rebel-held city of Misrata, using tanks and artillery, residents told Reuters on Wednesday.
"Very heavy bombardments are taking place now from three sides. They are using heavy weapons including tanks and artillery ... They have yet to enter the town," said one resident, called Mohammed, by telephone. |(Reuters)
