Baghdad Shiites decry Sunni crackdown in Bahrain

About 1,000 people rallied Friday in a Baghdad Shiite neighborhood against what some say are "sectarian attacks" by security forces in Sunni-ruled Bahrain on Shiite-led protesters there.
The demonstrations come as Iraqi leaders fear Bahrain's unrest may ignite Shiite-Sunni strife across the Mideast. The rally in Baghdad's Sadr City was expected to grow after Friday prayers. Protesters also are gathering in downtown Tahrir Square. (AP)
