Peru's Cabinet chief quits, cites personal reasons

An official in the office of Peruvian President Alan Garcia says that his Cabinet chief has resigned, citing personal reasons. The official says that Jose Antonio Chang presented his resignation Friday.

  

The resignation comes three weeks before the South American country's presidential elections and four months before the end of Garcia's term. The official said Chang resigned for reasons "of a personal nature," but did not elaborate. (AP)
