Police say suspected Muslim militants have ambushed a military patrol and killed two soldiers in insurgency-plagued southern Thailand.
Police Lt. Col. Pisit Sampachani says suspected insurgents were hiding in a rubber plantation and opened fire as a group of eight soldiers passed by on a Monday morning motorcycle patrol of the Cha Nae district of Narathiwat province. (AP)
