Abbas expresses sadness over Libya bloodshed

During a visit to Budapest Monday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his sadness over recent events in Libya. "The recent events in Libya sadden us due to the loss of life but we hope that the bloodshed will end soon," he said at a press conference.
Abbas refused to respond to criticism from Arab states over the criticism of the coalition and noted that: "Our stance is not to comment on political events in the Arab world, even when international forces are involved." (AFP)
