PM: Deep respect for judicial system

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented Tuesday on the sentence given to Moshe Katsav and said: "This is a special day – one of sadness and disgrace but also a day of deep respect and pride in Israel's judicial system."
"The court made a clear decision, one simple principle: Legal equality. No man is above the law, even if that man is the president – everyone is subject to the law of the land. The other aspect determined by the court: Equality between men and women. Every woman is entitled to respect, freedom and rights over her body," Netanyahu added. (Ynet)
