Rape victim in Katsav case: Relieved, satisfied following sentencing

The lawyer representing A' a former Tourism Ministry employee raped by Moshe Katsav said Tuesday that his client was "relieved and satisfied".
"The court ruled NIS 100,000 ($28,300) in compensation, a sum that doesn't come close to the severity of the damages A' endured. As a citizen of this country I think it's a sad day. How is it that such a low person was chosen to be president? On the other hand, this is a certificate of merit for the rule of law. The courts decreed that no man is immune," the lawyer said.
