Knesset approves Nakba bill in second, third readings
None
The Knesset has approved the Nakba bill in second and third readings, with 37 MKs voting in favor and 25 MKs voting against it.
The law would allow the finance minister to reduce the budgets of state-funded establishments that deny the existence of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, commemorate Independence Day as a day of mourning, or disrespect the Israeli flag or emblem, among other violations. (Roni Sofer)
