Petition: 'Admissions committee bill racist'

The Association for Civil Rights in Israel, joined by Misgav Regional Council residents, petitioned to the High Court of Justice demanding to revoke a bill allowing an admission committee in communities of over 400 families to decide whether or not to let members join their community.
According to the Association, "this bill is racist, unfit and undemocratic. It's designated to help establish communities for Jews only." The bill was approved in the Knesset Tuesday night with 35 in favor and 20 opposed. (Aviad Glickman)
