Hong Kong banned food and milk imports from five prefectures in Japan on Wednesday over fears of radiation contamination in food and water, a government official said.
"The ban is on food products from five prefectures produced or harvested on and after March 11. They include milk, beverages, milk powder, fruits, vegetables, game, meat, poultry, eggs and aquatic products," said a spokeswoman at the government's Centre for Food Safety. (Reuters)
