Egypt warns Israel against military action in Gaza

Israel should not rush into carrying out any military operations in Gaza, Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Elaraby said in a statement on Wednesday. Elaraby "asked Israel to exercise self restraint and warned it against rushing into a military operation in Gaza".
He also warned others - an apparent reference to Palestinian groups - from giving Israel any excuse to use violence, adding that Egypt rejected and condemned violence against civilians. (Reuters)
