Syria: 2 people killed by snipers in Latakia
Two people were killed and two wounded Saturday by unidentified snipers in the coastal city of Latakia in northwestern Syria, a Syrian official told AFP.
"The snipers fired on pedestrians in Latakia, killing two and wounding two others," the official said on condition of anonymity. Another Syrian official said earlier that "gunmen" fired from rooftops on passersby in the same city. (AFP)
