A 50-member Israeli medical team is expected to leave on Saturday night for Japan, to provide aid to the region affected by the radiation leak. Along with the team, 80 tons of medical and humanitarian supplies will be flown to Japan aboard two planes.
The team is expected to reach Japan on Sunday and establish a clinic in the city of Kurihara, which is located in the Miyagi Prefecture, one of the areas that was damaged the most by the tsunami. The clinic will treat injured individuals and refugees. (Ronen Medzini)
