Mofaz: Resume targeted killing policy
At a special committee meeting held in Beersheba Sunday, Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Shaul Mofaz said that Israel must go back to its targeted killing policy in the Gaza strip. "We did it with Rantisi, anybody who decides to harm citizens must know – on his head be it," Mofaz stated.
The chairman went on to criticize the government's proceedings in its response to Hamas and said: "The State of Israel can't hide behind the iron dome while life goes in Gaza. We must maintain the offensive capability and the IDF's deterrent power. Without deterrence – Palestinian organization will be the ones dictating the agenda." (Ilana Curiel)
