Egypt ultraconservative Muslims show assertiveness

Dozens of ultraconservative Muslims from the Salafi movement staged a protest in Cairo, accusing the local Christian church of abducting a Muslim convert.

The Tuesday protest over the case of a Coptic priest's wife whom some believe converted to Islam and is being held against her will - came amid signs of increasing assertiveness by the fundamentalist movement. (AP)
