One dead, one injured in Gaza strike

IDF bombs rocket-launching cell early Wednesday morning, after overnight strike targets tunnels

Air Force jets bombed a terror cell firing rockets at Israel in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday morning, the IDF said. Palestinian medical sources reported one dead and one injured in the strike.
Earlier the army bombed a smuggling tunnel in the southern Strip, in response to Qassam rocket fire towards Sderot. The rocket exploded in Gaza, but the alarm was sounded in the southern city after a launch was identified.
The IDF Spokesperson's Office said forces had identified a direct hit, and stressed that the strike was in direct retaliation to the rocket fire.
Previously the IDF bombed Gaza on Sunday, killing two terrorists preparing to fire rockets towards Israel and wounding three of their colleagues, one of them severely.
Islamic Jihad claimed the men were members of its military wing, al-Quds Brigades, and threatened to respond "at the proper time and place".
