HCJ to forbid night flights from airport during runway renovation

The High Court of Justice is expected to rule that all night flights taking-off from Ben-Gurion airport will be forbidden during the runway renovation period in the upcoming years.
Some liftoffs will be permitted by the Civil Aviation Authority given a reasoned and detailed decision, which will then be passed on to Holon city council. The HCJ also rejected the petition against the permission given by the Transportation Ministry allowing El Al Airlines to take-off on Thursdays so as to avoid desecrating the Sabbath. (Yoav Zitun)
