Bill punishing infiltrators more severely approved

The Knesset has approved in first reading a bill proposed by the government to sentence infiltrators to five years in jail without appearing before a judge for the first three years.
The bill was supported by 42 coalition members with five Knesset members opposed. MK Dov Khenin (Hadash) said "this is a dangerous bill, one we must all object to." (Roni Sofer)
