Peres invited to attend UN conference in Istanbul

Turkey has invited President Shimon Peres to attend a United Nations conference that will be held in Istanbul.
Officials at the President's Residence are checking whether the invitation, which arrived some six weeks ago, is an attempt to thaw relations between the two states or if it is an obligatory invitation from the United Nations. (Attila Somfalvi and Ronen Medzini)
