Speaking from Honk Kong Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin told Ynet Thursday: "The investigative authority given to the State Comptroller during Wednesday's committee meeting was done in a nontransparent and unworthy manner."
"I feel that my naïveté was taken advantage of – this is something that shouldn't have been done," said Rivlin and explained that he gave MK Yoel Hasson the ok to hold the Knesset State Control Committee meeting at the height of a Knesset plenum deliberation over the Shashinsky bill. Rivlin called upon the State Comptroller to request that another committee meeting be held on the issue. (Roni Sofer)
