Tel Aviv mayor: Israel must adopt strict immigration policy

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai met with representatives of the city's southern neighborhoods over their protest against the multitude of illegal African refugees populating the area. "The State must adopt a strict immigration policy, and close the borders," Huldai said during the meeting.

The mayor announced that he intendeds to award scholarships to students who move to southern Tel Aviv neighborhoods and to increase the enforcement of the laws that prohibit property owners to split apartments for rent. (Yoav Zitun)
