UN to hold emergency meeting on Afghan attack

The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on the deadly attack on the UN office in northern Afghanistan.

Thousands of Afghans were demonstrating outside the UN compound in Mazar-i-Sharif against the burning of a Quran by a Florida pastor when protestors suddenly stormed the complex. The UN has confirmed that three international UN staff and four international security guards were killed. He said locals also died. (AP)
