Gov't approves new fire and rescue commissioner appointment

The government approved Sunday the appointment of Commander Shahar Ayalon to the role of commissioner of the fire and rescue services in line with the recommendation from Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch. Commander Ayalon has been serving as Tel Aviv District police commander since April 2009. (Omri Ephraim)
