Defense Minister Ehud Barak responded to criticism made by members of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, according to which he was responsible for the cancelation of a hearing about the international recognition of a Palestinian state, because he prevented IDF officers from appearing in front of the committee.
"The military echelon should not be responsible for answering questions of political nature, if the minister is willing to appear in front of the committee," claimed Barak. (Roni Sofer)
