UN evacuates staff after attacks in Ivory Coast

The United Nations mission in Ivory Coast (UNOCI) said on Sunday that it had relocated some of its non-essential staff to the northern city of Bouake after a number of them came under attack.

 

"We have made a temporary relocation of some of our staff to Bouake. It is a small part of the staff, mostly non-essential personnel," Hamadoun Toure, UNOCI spokesman told Reuters. (Reuters)
