Doctors announce 2-day general strike beginning Tuesday
The Israeli Medical Association has announced a two-day general strike in hospitals beginning on Tuesday. During these days only doctors on call and orderlies will be working and exceptions committees will operate in emergency cases only.
IMA Chairman Dr. Leonid Eidelman said: "I hope the Finance Ministry uses these two days to take up the gauntlet in order to prevent further collapse of the health system. If it doesn't happen – we'll renew the strike." (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
