NATO service member killed in eastern Afghanistan

NATO says one of its service members has been killed in an insurgent attack in eastern Afghanistan.

The military coalition says the service member died Sunday. It did not disclose other details or the nationality of the dead in a statement issued Monday, in keeping with a policy of waiting for national authorities to provide such information. The majority of the troops in the east are American. (AP)
