Pop duo Roxette coming to Israel

Swedish band members Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle to perform at Tel Aviv's Exhibition Grounds on October 22

VIDEO - Swedish pop duo Roxette will perform in Israel for the first time this fall. The concert will be held at Tel Aviv's Exhibition Grounds on October 22.

Roxette is being brought to Israel by producer Shuki Weiss. The first tickets for the concert will be sold online for NIS 295 ($85). The price will later go up to NIS 370 ($107).

Remember 'How Do You Do'?

The Roxette duo was formed in the 1980s by singer Marie Fredriksson and singer and guitarist Per Gessle. It began enjoying worldwide success in the early 1990s, creating huge hits like "How Do You Do", "It Must Have Been Love" (which was included in the soundtrack of Hollywood blockbuster "Pretty Woman") and many others.

Nostalgia: 'Joyride'

The band took a break in the beginning of the previous decade, during which Fredriksson had a brain tumor removed. Two years ago, the duo reunited and began its new musical life.

In February, Roxette released its eighth album, "Charm School," and launched a world concert tour, during which it is expected to meet as many as 1 million fans from different countries. The concert tour, which is expected to end in November, has been hailed a great success.
