Japan nuke plant spews more radiation into sea

The operator of a tsunami-disabled nuclear plant says radiation measuring several million times the legal limit has leaked into the sea over the past few days.

Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Tuesday that samples taken from seawater near one of the reactors contained 7.5 million times the legal limit for radioactive iodine on April 2. Two days later, that figure dropped to 5 million. (AP)
