Doctors launch planned strike
None
For the first time since 2000, doctors in Israel go on planned strike, causing major disruptions in hospitals and health maintenance organizations across the country. All major hospital departments are operating on emergency case base only, with exceptions of emergency rooms, maternity wards and premature babies wards.
Despite the disruptions paintents have yet to complain, saying: "The doctors fight for us, let them strike for as long as they need." (Hagai Einav and Ahiya Raved)
