The Turkish health minister says a ship evacuating hundreds of wounded from Libya is close to the country's Aegean coast and a field hospital is ready to provide emergency treatment.
Recep Akdag says the evacuation reflects Turkey's efforts to help the Libyan people. He spoke Tuesday at the Aegean port town of Cesme where the field hospital has been set up. The prime minister's office says the ferry boat, Ankara, is carrying 321 wounded and 108 other Libyans accompanying them. (AP)
