Attorney general rules against criminal investigation of MK El-Sana

Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein ruled that a criminal investigation of MK Talab El-Sana (United Arab List-Ta'al) should not be conducted. Weinstein addressed the December 2009 demonstration during which El-Sana broadcasted a speech by Hamas Prime Minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh, using his cell phone.
Weinstein did ask the chairwoman of the Ethics Committee, MK Shelly Yachimovich, to check whether El-Sana violated the Knesset's ethics code. (Aviad Glickman)
