Mexico's Treasury Department says it has raised its economic growth projections for this year from 4 percent to 4.3%.
It says data show that a strong performance in the fourth quarter of 2010 has continued or improved in the first months of this year. It adds that prospects for all of 2011 remain favorable both for Mexico and the global economy. Mexico's economy grew 5.5% last year. It was the best annual expansion since 2000, when GDP grew 6%.
