MK Ben-Eliezer to be released from hospital
Doctors say condition of MK treated for severe lung infection improving, to be sent home Sunday
After nearly a month of hospitalization, MK Binyamin Ben-Eliezer will be released home on Sunday, doctors said Friday.
The 75-year old MK was taken to Assaf Harofeh Hospital suffering from a severe lung infection and was treated under sedation and on artificial respiration.
Though his life was at risk for much of the duration of his treatment, doctors say his condition has improved immensely and that he will be able to leave the hospital for a few hours to see his family Friday evening.
Ben-Eliezer's associates say he is feeling better. During his hospitalization he tried to rest and relinquished most of his work, they add.
"I'm getting stronger," he told his party members a few days ago.
