10 die in polling station in Nigeria's northeast
A witness says an explosion has killed ten people during polls in Nigeria's northeast. An Associated Press reporter who visited the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital said he saw the corpses of ten blast victims who had been at the Anguwan Doki ward in the city of Maiduguri Saturday.
He said one of them was a policewoman on election duty and that the bomb went off as some 300 voters were getting accredited for National Assembly elections. (AP)
