Witness says 4 protesters killed in Syria
A witness says Syrian security forces have killed four protesters and wounded dozens in a coastal city. The witness says the names of the dead were read out on mosque loudspeakers Sunday in the port city of Banias. He said most of the shooting occurred in the Ras al-Nabeh neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
He spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of government reprisals. Earlier Sunday, army tanks and soldiers circled the city to prevent people from entering. (AP)
