PM stops plan to expand Jerusalem construction

Four extensive construction plans in Jewish neighborhoods located beyond the Green Line in Jerusalem have been removed from the agenda of the District Planning and Construction Committee following the prime minister's direct intervention.

The plan included the expansion of the neighborhoods of Gilo, Har Homa, Pisgat Ze'ev and Ramot and the approval was expected this week, a day before a meeting of the Quartet on the Middle East. (Ronen Medzini)
