Report: Mubarak used illness to avoid questioning

The Egyptian newspaper al-Ahram cites sources in Sharm el-Sheikh as saying that former President Hosni Mubarak "used his illness as an excuse to avoid being questioned."

The Arab media reported earlier that Mubarak was investigated on Wednesday in the prosecutor's office in the southern Sinai city of El-Tor. According to a report on the Al Arabiya network, the questioning dealt with the ousted leader's assets. (Roee Nahmias)
