Egypt PM orders gas contract price review

Egypt's official MENA news agency says the country's premier has ordered a price review of the much-criticized contracts to supply natural gas to Israel and Jordan.

MENA quoted Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's spokesman, Ahmed el-Samman as saying that the revision is aimed at bringing in the greatest returns for Egypt. El-Samman said revised contracts could boost income by $3 billion to $4 billion. (AP)
