Palestinian terror group withdraws statements over Italian's kidnapping
Palestinian terror group al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad announced Friday that it withdrew the statements in which it took responsibility for the kidnapping and murder of the Italy-born human rights activist Vittorio Arigoni in the Gaza strip.
In an internet announcement the group denied responsibility: "Even though we have no connection to the kidnapping, we would like to stress that what happened is the natural conclusion to the Hamas government policy against other organizations within the Strip." (Elior Levy)
