Anti-Syria protests in Istanbul

Pro-Islamic activists denounced Syrian leader Bashar Assad for his security forces' violent crackdown of protests there, following Friday prayers at a mosque in Istanbul.
Some 300 Turkish worshippers also held funeral prayers for Syrians killed during the demonstrations outside Istanbul's historic Beyazit mosque. Some of them chanted: "The oppressors will drown in the blood of the martyrs." (AP)
