An earthquake has shaken cities in northeastern Australia but no damage has been reported and no tsunami warning issued.
The US Geological Survey says the magnitude 5.2 temblor that hit Saturday afternoon was centered about 6 miles (10 kilometers) below the sea floor and about 80 miles (125 kilometers) southeast of the coastal city of Townsville in Queensland state. Townsville councilor Natalie Marr says the quake was felt in the city, but that there were no reports of damage. (AP)
