Iran condemns new EU sanctions

Iran's Foreign Ministry is condemning a decision by the European Union to impose sanctions on 32 Iranian officials for alleged human rights abuses.

Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast accused the 27-nation bloc of "following US policies" after the EU agreed last week to impose visa bans and asset freezes on the 32 individuals. (AP)
