Head of Islamic Movement released from police custody

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court has ordered the release of Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement, who was arrested Thursday for assaulting police officers and interrupting them in the line of duty, near the Jordan border crossing.

 

Salah was ordered to pay a NIS 10,000 ($2.900) fine. The police said charges would be filed against him for assaulting police officers, in the coming days. (Hassan Shaalan)
