UK to fund rescue of foreign workers in Misrata

Britain says it will fund efforts to evacuate thousands of foreign workers stranded in the besieged Libyan city of Misrata.
International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell, who is in New York on Monday to meet United Nations officials, also pledged to provide medical aid for civilians in western Libya. Mitchell said the International Organization for Migration will carry out the evacuations from Misrata by boat as soon as possible. (AP)
