Luxury designer Bijan Pakzad dies in LA

Bijan Pakzad, a Beverly Hills designer of ultra-luxury clothing, perfume and jewelry, has died.
His son, Nicolas Pakzad, tells the Los Angeles Times that his father suffered a stroke on Thursday and died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Pakzad, who was born in Iran, came to the US in the 1970s and opened a Rodeo Drive boutique. (AP)
